Jazz Mood - An American in Naples   

Michael Supnick, jazzista americano festeggia i suoi venticinque anni in Italia con un nuovo cd strumentale di brani classici napoletani tra i più noti Luna rossa, Accarezzame, Anema e core, 'O sole mio e altri ancora. Il cd dal titolo “An american in Naples”, raccoglie nove brani con orchestra, sei brani al pianoforte con l'ecclettico pianista Arturo Valiante. Due brani originali sono di Francesco Digilio, che è anche il produttore discografico della Sifare Edizioni Musicali che ha prodotto il CD. Sebbene Michael Supnick abbia suonato sempre il jazz tradizionale, lo swing, collabora da molti anni con Renzo Arbore in diverse orchestre e probabilmente il suo amore per la canzone napoletana e merito suo. Un cd sicuramente molto soft da ascoltare romanticamente su una terrazza di fronte al mare una sera d'estate. Magari sul Golfo di Napoli. Michael Supnick, American jazz musician, is celebrating his twenty-five years in Italy with a new instrumental CD of classic Neapolitan songs. Among the most famous are Torna a Surriento (Surrender), 'O sole mio (It's Now or Never), Anema e core (With All My Heart and Soul),  and many more. The CD,  entitled "An American in Naples", contains nine songs with a full orchestra, six songs with eclectic pianist Arturo Valiante. Guido Giacomini plays bass on Caruso. Two original songs are by Francesco Digilio, who is also the producer of the CD along with Sifare Music Publishing. Although Michael Supnick has always played traditional jazz and swing, the fact that he has collaborated for many years with Renzo Arbore (famous Italian entertainer and show business personality), is probably the reason that Michael developed his love for the Neapolitan songs. A CD definitely very soft to listen to, on a romantic terrace overlooking the sea one summer evening. Even better if overlooking the Gulf of Naples.
